Beth Petrie

I am a leadership and career coach with nearly 30 years of experience interfacing with senior leaders across government and the private sector. Throughout my career, I've built and delivered large scale programs collaborating closely with executive teams, boards of directors, regulators and auditors. I previously served as a Managing Director in Operational Risk Management at Citi, providing oversight of governance, policy, and standards for data, cyber, and technology risk. Prior to Citi, I was an intelligence analyst for 15 years at the FBI, including serving as the Senior Executive Service (SES) leader of Cyber Intelligence.

Outside of my professional life, my husband and I owned an Irish pub in Baltimore for 10 years and are the proud parents of two grown daughters. I am also pursuing my goal to finish section hiking the Appalachian Trail in the next few years. These experiences continue to shape my practical, real world approach to leadership, coaching and life.

I believe strong leadership starts with self-awareness. My role as a coach is to help clients slow down in order to think strategically and make decisions aligned with their values, strengths, and long-term goals. Drawing from decades of experience in high-pressure environments, I help clients cut through the noise and identify what matters most to them so they can move forward with confidence.

My coaching style is thoughtful, structured, and human-centered. I focus on aligning your strengths, values, and goals—so career decisions feel intentional and grounded in who you truly are, not just what you’ve done.
